KLE CBSE School, Nipani, conducts Cricket Tournament for Girl Students

December 2016: The KLE CBSE School located in Nipani, Belagavi District, has always placed emphasis on holistic development of its students and in this context, endeavours to focus on the physical, mental, spiritual and emotional growth of children apart from academics. The School specifically ensures that the girl child gets her rightful share of academic and physical education.

The TENVIC Belagavi team works closely with the School Management and the Principal, Ms. Sharmistha Roy, to create initiatives centred around Sport in the school, and recently conducted a Cricket Tournament for girl students. The event was a great success, with 64 girls registering for participation. The players enrolled in 2 categories, Under-14 and Under-16, across 4 school Houses. They played six matches, five overs to a team. The audience witnessed several fine performances - Bhumi's 5 Ball 20 in an under-14 match, Rutuja's 47 not out and Vidhi's 5 wicket haul in under-16 matches being the highlights.

Congratulations to all the players, the school staff and management, the TENVIC Coaches, Narayan J Patil, Sangram Chavan and Sudeep Karambalkar, who organized the event brilliantly, and TENVIC Operations Manager Lakshman M S who orchestrated it all.
